COVID-19: Building Closure

Dear San Francisco Campus Family,

We continue to monitor the changing recommendations and situation and we are abiding by the countywide “shelter-in-place” order announced today by Mayor London Breed and public health officials and other leaders from across six Bay Area counties.  The directive begins at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday and involves San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Marin, Contra Costa, and Alameda counties. This will result in a closure of our San Francisco Campus for students, faculty, staff, patients, and guests from Tuesday, March 17 to Tuesday, April 7.

We are adjusting the final exam schedule for Dugoni School students to shift the exams to next week. This will give our students and faculty more time to prepare for these online exams.  We are also working with all of our departments to prepare online courses for the upcoming quarter. We will stay in touch with our students by email in order to communicate updates about next quarter’s clinical and academic programs.

Our Dental and Audiology clinics will be discontinuing clinical services from Tuesday, March 17 to Tuesday, April 7. Today will be our last day of emergency clinical care. We will triage patient calls for emergency services by phone and will refer patients to San Francisco General Hospital as needed.

To all employees on the San Francisco Campus: Please stay home starting on Tuesday, March 17 through Tuesday, April 7. Please stay in touch by email with your manager or director if you have questions.

We will send additional information in coming days, but our first priority is to make sure our campus community stays safe and healthy.

We will continue to keep you updated. Please take care of yourself and your loved ones during this challenging time. I am grateful for each one of you and have your health and well-being in our thoughts.

Be well,

Nader A. Nadershahi, DDS, MBA, EdD
