Vaccines and Alumni Weekend

We are so grateful for our volunteers who participated in the COVID-19 vaccine clinic on campus yesterday afternoon. Thanks to their efforts we were able to administer vaccines for 120 members of the San Francisco community who qualified. Each of these valuable doses will help protect someone and moves us one step closer to a healthier society.

Another update related to vaccine distribution is news that Registered Dental Hygienists in California will be eligible to give COVID-19 vaccinations, under supervision of an eligible vaccine provider, following training and certification. This step will expand the vaccine workforce, particularly if help is needed in the future at mass vaccination sites, community clinics, or other places. Read more on this from the CDA

We are looking forward to the 122nd Annual Alumni Meeting next week, with a theme of “Digital vs. Traditional: It’s New, but is it Better?”  It all takes place virtually from Thursday, February 25 to Saturday, February 27. Activities include CE lectures, a virtual recognition program with Medallion of Distinction awards, a virtual vendor floor, the Legacy Ball: “Through the Looking Glass,” and much more.

Look for more information next week from our Alumni Association as the meeting approaches. If you have specific questions, please email at dugonialumni@pacific.edu or call 415.351.7146.
