2019 is coming to a close. We are getting ready to turn the page and enter an exciting new chapter in the Dugoni School’s story. I would like to thank you all for being an important part of our success this past year. You are an important part of the Dugoni School family, whether you are a student, resident, faculty or staff member, patient, alumnus, supporter or community partner.
With your continued involvement we will remain a trusted leader in the delivery of world-class dental education for our students and residents, and the delivery of outstanding care for our more than 28,000 patients.
Our school’s stated purpose is to help people lead healthy lives, and I wish you good health, cheer, and peace during the holiday season and beyond.
Enjoy your time with family, friends and other loved ones. I look forward to seeing you after a well-deserved holiday break.
Nader A. Nadershahi, DDS, MBA, EdD
P.S. Below are a few educational and entertaining holiday health-related web links I’ve recently come across that I wanted to share with you. I hope you find them useful!
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, I want to express my appreciation for all that you do for the Dugoni School family, the profession, and our purpose of helping people lead healthy lives. You live our core values of Courage, Empowerment, Excellence, Innovation, Integrity, and Leadership, and our defining characteristic of Humanism, and I am moved and in awe of your incredible passion and commitment. Thank you!
Thanksgiving provides a great opportunity for us to show appreciation for those who have impacted our lives, to pause, and reflect on the positive and incredible good in the world.
I wish you and your family members a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
As we recognize and celebrate the various traditions within our diverse school community, I would like to wish you a happy Nowruz — the Persian New Year. This “new day” is celebrated by millions of people around the world on the day of the vernal equinox, marking the beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere.
I wish you the very best during this time of renewal and new beginnings.
A warm welcome back to each of you at the start of Winter quarter. Hopefully you had many opportunities to relax and recharge with family, friends, and other loved ones over the break.
The start of the new year is a perfect time to reflect and reconnect on our school’s purpose of helping people lead healthy lives. We look forward to a great year of supporting our students, each other, and providing care to the community as we strive to fulfill this purpose and continue building the best oral health education program in the world.
We have a lot of exciting work ahead of us and will have many opportunities to celebrate together as the year progresses. Thank you for being an important part of the Dugoni School family.
